I write this as of July 15, 2011 . . . things not so great! I have often told my friends (who marvel that an ol' "black thumb" like me, could grow grapes), that it takes a lot to kill a grape vine!"

Well, this spring has definitely made an attempt to do just that. Never-ending cold, wet weather week after week after week . . . has reduced our normal yield dramatically. It's heart-breaking considering we still have to input the same hard work and dollars.

Farming! How did we get into this!? Ah, but we shouldn't complain (yet), as California weather is usually so reliable and conducive to growing grapes.

Time will tell.
